　本日から新しいALTのキース先生が着任されました。自己紹介での明るく、優しそうな人柄に生徒は興味津々の様子でした。1時間目はさっそく3年4組で授業を行われました。生徒と一緒に英語の授業や活動に楽しく取り組んでもらいたいと思います。よろしくお願いします。

Good Morning, Kita Junior High school.  My name is Keith Tsurukawa.  Starting today, I will be your new ALT.  I am a Japanese-American from San Francisco, USA.  I currently work at Nagahama Junior and Elementary School, Ozu Higashi Junior High School, Awazu Elementary School, and Miyoshi Elementary School.  I have taught English in Ozu city for 6 years.  I like cooking, pizza, basketball, games, and anime.  I hope we can talk or have fun together soon.

When I heard that I will be working at Kita-chu, I felt surprised and nervous working at such a big school.   However, I heard from Beni-sensei that Kita-chu students are very interested in learning English.  So I hope we can learn and enjoy English together.

北中のみなさん、おはようございます。私の名前はツルカワ・キースです。今日から皆さんの新しいALTをさせていただきます。アメリカのサンフランシスコ市出身の日系アメリカ人です。現在、長浜小中学校、大洲東中学校、粟津小学校、三善小学校で勤務しています。6年間、大洲市で英語を教えています。料理、ピザ、バスケ、ゲーム、アニメなどが大好きです。いつか一緒におしゃべりとかして遊びましょう。

北中で働くようになることを聞いたとき、驚きと緊張の気持ちがあふれていました。でも、ベニー先生から、北中の生徒が英語に興味津々だと聞きました。だから、一緒に英語を学んで楽しみましょう。
